The ArtsLand Foundation is proud to present Stanislavsky Summer School. Established in 1992 in Cambridge, MA, it is the oldest program of the renowned Moscow Art Theatre School in the United States.
This program is designed to introduce students to the basics of the famous Stanislavsky System – the way it is taught in Russia today. Moscow Art Theatre School teachers bring to America the best rich Russian theatre tradition has to offer — the spirit and knowledge that are essential for the art of acting.
Summer School curriculum includes Acting Classes (Stanislavsky and Michael Chekhov), Scene Study (Chekhov, Gogol, Ostrovsky and modern Russian drama), Movement Training, and weekly Theatre History Seminar. Classes meet six days a week, Monday through Saturday. The School is located at the heart of Harvard Square in Cambridge, MA.
